Testing my new drawing tablet on this piece to get the feel of the new pen.

The short story of this artwork takes place 10 years ago, when both Lishi and Ruba were in their 20s. There is a war between the Zindaris Empire and the Middle Eastern Coalition. They both side with the Coalition; Lishi was newly promoted to captain, while Ruba is still a private first class. While the four-ear fox is eager to fight for his nation, Ruba tried not to get involved in the war but still got sent to the battlefield.

During the heat of the war, Ruba got captured and stripped to his girly innerwear. He got insulted by the imperial soldier before they tried to shoot him to death. And then, out of nowhere, a sword penetrated through the canine's chest, with blood spewing around. It was Lishi who killed him.

Even though he got rescued, Ruba thinks killing that guy is not necessary. He was a soldier following an order.

Lishi nods with a frown. Deciding that he would aim for the officer on his next kills. He had enough. His comrades are now gone; only Ruba is the only one he has and his only best friend. He seeks revenge for those who fell to the bullets of the enemy. Drowned in hatred. And vow not to leave any single high-ranking officer alive, including killing the immortal emperor himself.

There is no way Ruba can stop the little guy; he can only watch as he follows behind Lishi's foot steps. Doubt that he could stand a chance with a high-tech enemy using his sword and thinking they both will not make it out towards the end of this war.
