Eight of Swords: Trapped
This is a card about being trapped or just FEELING trapped; most versions of it emphasize the fact that the figure is not as physically trapped as they think they are, if only they could open their eyes and see their situation for what it is. The crows are silent companions, and there is even a path laid before him--he's not really trapped, or alone, or lost, but that doesn't change how powerfully we feel those things at times. The watch around his neck shows how even time is sometimes a trap, as we struggle against self-imposed deadlines and bounds that don't need to be there.
As always, if you like how these are coming along and want to help me make the entire deck a reality, visit my Patreon (https://www.patreon.com/jogauni_tarot) and consider making a pledge!
