Traditionally called Temperance in the standard decks, this card nonetheless conjures meanings of balance, moderation, and the alchemy of opposites changing into and becoming each other to maintain that balance. And the Jogauni are nothing if not creatures of balance. These two dancers show off the ways in which they are able to wear each other's "skins" and in doing so, illustrating the natural balance that they are sworn to upkeep in the world. Opposites, after all, are less opposing forces and more two sides of the same coin--and a coin that hasn't landed yet can come up any way it chooses. Balance is critical in all things, and this card reminds you to look at your own life with an eye to the balance of the forces in it.
