I'd say Trent's soundtrack is pretty damn original. I know I loved it.

In the Hall of the Mountain King was actually something David Fincher requested Trent cover for the soundtrack for one particular scene. It didn't really stand as inspiration for the rest of the work.

But it should disqualify the so-so network. The catagory is Best Original Soundtrack.

You would disqualify an entire original score because he also included 2:00 minutes of an electronic version of a Grieg piece?

that's a bit extreme.

Chris, I know you're better than that. I know you're disappointed, but to call that soundtrack unoriginal is just flat out wrong.

The category this year was packed with a lot of great potentials all of whom easily deserved the award.

I get that you maybe don't like the soundtrack Trent and Atticus produced (although I'm doubting you heard it) and that's fine of course. But I'm just baffled by the logic you are trying to employ here. It doesn't look very objective to me.

Yeah. Using that same logic, the "Star Wars" soundtracks should be disqualified for borrowing so heavily from Gustav Holst's "Mars-Bringer of War."

It's a crime that Daft Punk didn't get nominated.

Tron's soundtrack was certainly better than the so-so network.

I really like it when you give the horsies more furriness like this. And the facial expression is adorable. Fave.

As for the Oscars, they have little to do with quality in most cases now, and are purely commercial nonsense. A huge publicity event, that's all.

I haven't heard it, but if it's got a classic classical, I'll check it out. :)

Very cute stud! Your toning is great, may be a bit too dark though. Or too homogeneous (ahem too one tone I mean ;).
