At first, Kears had just been quietly appreciating how nice it felt to have such a lovely meal and relishing the feel of her gradually softening into him. With his eyes closed and rubbing over his belly, he hadn't noticed the color in his fur gradually starting to darken and the warmth from within his stomach starting to spread elsewhere. By the time they felt the new skull mask hardening over the front of their face, it finally dawned on the resting creature that the deer's ink and the wolf's slime may have swirled together a little too thoroughly. This hadn't been digestion, it was emulsification, and now the gooey deer-wolf had a lot of new questions to deal with.
...Alears? Fair enough, that can be our name for now. Until we can figure out how to separate again...assuming we can.
