Way back in 1979 I had an EEG while I was in the USAF. This was done at a Navy hospital in Yokosuka, Japan. Without even the slightest suggestion of a local, the doctor inserted numerous needles into my scalp. If you've never had an EEG done with the needles, believe me, you aren't missing anything pleasant.
