Practicing sketches (HAS BEEN MODIFIED as per artists 'reque
Yeah I know, ANOTHER picture from me! and this one has several mini pictures in it!
A bunch of doodles, about two hours work, of various tutorials and images. The main picture is from my expansive archives (check the edit)
A question, to any and all willing to answer. How do I go about drawing hair, and more importantly, fur. As you can probably tell from this picture, my 'fur' either looks like a fuzzy scribble (which it is) or chunky triangles (which it also is).
Also, would this be called an OC?
EDIT:
As you can probably see, I have blotted out the centrepiece, as well as a headsketch in the upper right.
The centrepiece was imitated from a picture whose artist, Vial, resides on this site.
Normally, upon hearing this, I would have put a © Vial in here.
However Vial 'asked' me to remove it. and I have.
Of course, I'm not a spiteful girl, and I really am grateful to him for existing, otherwise I wouldnt have been able to learn from him. and (more importantly) I wouldn't want you guys to wonder what that grey centreblob is.
So, the image was Originally drawn by
vial and can be found here http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5308859
He's a great artist, lovely curvy snake-people. But not the nicest of humans, so don't go talking to him without an appointment.

WOW THIS SURE IS ORIGINAL AND AWESOME.
Also when you save images from furaffinity and put them in your "expansive archive", the artist's name is already in the filename, so not giving credit isn't much of an excuse. Please remove this and stop copying others' works without permission. :T

touchy much? I did say it was original and awesome? I did in fact say it was imitated from others (something you have also pointed out in your self-contradicting comment)
Oddly enough, I do actually know FA files are automatically titled with the artists name. However the picture was titled as a 12 digit number, so I probably saved it from a chan somewhere (And yes, I'm assuming you're in a huff over the main picture, since the other doodles are no where near as detailed)
I've just gone to your account and seen it's apparently your art. and since you've requested I remove it, I shall. But with disappointment, both in the act and you as a person, most people see imitation as flattery, clearly you do not.
As a final note, I did not copy you, I imitated you. Copying implies I've traced your work or tried to steal it from you somehow. Imitation is a mark of respect for an art style, and an attempt to learn it, it's something art students around the globe to to people like Van Gogh and Picasso. I gave you nameless credit (I would have named you, as I did Vorishartist in my other picture, if I had known your name) and as the original artist you must surely be able to see this is clearly not a traced copy of your work.
Again, it's a crying shame you want me to remove the part tied to you, rather than just give you direct credit. But I still thank you for the unintended (and apparently unwanted) oportunity to learn from your style of drawing.

lol. Copying an artist's work might be acceptable if you FIRST contacted the ARTIST to see if it were allowed and not intrusive (which it is in this instance). Further, using an existing artists work to copy and learn from can be advantageous if the artist is actually a respected master of the arts, and regarded as a teacher, LIKE Van Gogh, but I am not. I just draw dumb smut, and I have it pasted on my front page, "DON'T STEAL SHIT". I don't mind my work being posted to chans or whatever, for people to enjoy, but it's always "touchy much" when you wake up to see direct copies of your own art slapped into someone's gallery without you even knowing about it happening.
It's moreso because the character isn't even mine, but overlai's, and he's had to go through enough instances of people copying his characters already.
If you really want to continue doing this kind of thing, I implore you to first find the source artist and ASK THEM ahead of time if you can draw from their work, I can imagine usually they'd say yes, if you explain yourself as trying to learn. I probably would have been okay with this as well if you just asked before doing so. Otherwise, Jesus, if you have to copy shit, just do so and don't post it. :|

A master of something is only better than someone else. You are a better artist than me, so to me you are as much of a master as Gogh.
All of your other points are moot, I explained initially that I had no idea who the original artist was, as well as explaining it was imitated from someone else. If I had known who you were I would have asked permission before even thinking about submitting it.
We got off on the wrong foot, but frankly, I don't want to be on the right foot with you. You treated me downright rudely, as though I were an art theif, or a troll, I could understand that on another site, but even a half arsed glance through my gallery or even just my watch list would have shown I'm known, have been around for awhile and am not in the habit of touting other's art as my own.
I'm a very friendly and welcoming person to people who know me, and I've never turned anyone away, even complete strangers who do have a troll-like userpage and spontaneously msn me.
I'm making an exception right now, you've upset me, and frankly hurt me, now please go away.

no offense, but Solines right, you came off like such a douche its not even funny... being polite and keeping some matters private SHOULD always be priority... then whenever the other party doesn't listen you're 100% justified in any behavioral adjustments you make in response...
