Astrophytum asterias - felis catus - carassius auratus hybrid; better known by the common names of star/sea urchin cactus, common housecat, and common household goldfish.
Done on 18in. x 24in. recycled brown paper with charcoal and coloured conte; from start to finish took roughly about 8 hours.
Please ignore the GLARING anatomical shortcomings; this was done entirely on a whim without stopping. There is nothing I love better than coming away with colours and smudges up to your elbows after finishing a drawing.
Still stumped for a name, hopefully that will come around about the time I get a reference sheet going.
