There once lived a dashing but selfish son of a prominent Earl in a faraway kingdom. Garreth of House Prosser was a vain young man, whose pride and greed only grew when his parents passed away from illness and left their entire estate for him to inherit. As trade with newly-explored lands grew, so did the wealth of the Earldom. However, some of this trade was rather one-sided and left the people on the other side of the deal worse off than they had been before. Then came one fateful night, when an old man dressed in rags approached the manor and demanded for what rightfully belonged to his people. Garreth scoffed at the man's imprudence, turning him away and warning him to never come back. But the haggard old man had a trick up his sleeve. Revealing himself to be an incredibly powerful wizard, he cursed the young Earl, turning him into a beast befitting of his greed. The newly-turned dragon ravaged the castle in an uncontrollable rage, but retreated to the dungeon with his riches.
Years passed and the legend of the Dragon of Prosser spread, drawing in treasure hunters and questing knights who'd disappear without a trace. The dragon continued to build on his riches, slowly being accustomed to his newfound power. He began to see the curse to be more of a blessing, and coveted even more power to build his hoard. Summoning a group of practitioners of dark magic, the ritual succeeded to increasing his size and strength. However, this had also muddled up the spell that had been originally placed on him. Days after the ritual, the dragon started to feel strange. Over the course of weeks, the two lumps on his shoulders grew out further and further, molding themselves into an eerily familiar shape. Two replicas of his human self had emerged from the ends of his necks, seemingly not having changed at all since that fateful day.
He'd regained some of his humanity (or a little more), but didn't seem to mind having a little company too through those lonely nights despite still being technically one person. Being stuck in such a bizarre form appealed to him further as the days went on - an alluring fusion of man and beast. All six of his eyes liked what he saw.
Now it looks like you've accidentally stumbled upon him. Will you be a friend or foe?
This idea has been swimming around in my head for ages, but I'm incredibly glad
