The interior of this 1937 Cord 812 is a study in light and dark with chrome and black paint. It took a few tries before I found an exposure setting that made me happy. I love the brushed pattern of the dashboard.

Further proof that I'm a car nerd; I recognized the car right away from the steering wheel...

I believe that the Cord 812 was the first car with concealed headlights. They raise and lower via the little chrome crank handles at each end of the dashboard.

The Cord and the MG TD are my two dream cars. Finding a Cord is nearly impossible, the TD is a bit more realistic.

I might have come across one other Cord at a show. Maybe. I simply don't remember. But if I did, I'm certain it wasn't as immaculate as this one.

I like the pre-selector gear shift next to the steering wheel. Must have been tricky to use without taking your eyes off the road.
