"Weaker than the experiments you dubbed as "Alphas, Copper, and Aquatic Fruit Kobolds." The ones you called "Clonebolds" were the top of their class. Stats aren't everything, and what we lacked in manpower these creatures we've created solved that issue in no time at all! They were built in our image, easy to augment and are very receptive to psionic capabilities. We were able to mass produce them and it saved us resources in skirmishes and mass-scaled battles. It's a terrible shame they're fading into obscurity after the War against the Stars. If Captain PiK was more intelligent, we should've replaced our soldiers with them..." ~Asha Star Spine
Hee-Ho, howdy everyone! Today I bring you some more information on the Fruit Kobolds as this is technically a sequel to the post you can find here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/53319534/
I think it's painfully obvious this takes place after the War Against the Stars and even The Council of Chaos arcs of Skin to Scales. The Clonebolds first appeared in the War Against the Stars as they were mainly used by Yggdrasil and Nidhogg respectively. Filling their ranks with high amounts of Clonebolds in small skirmishes against Angel-Tech, the Warrior of the Pillars, King Keii's own forces and even against Captain PiK's Armada. They held the line well, and thanks to their goo-like bodies they were immune to various forms of gunfire and even flame weapons. (Like most Fruit Kobolds minus the Aquatic ones.) Not only were they easily mass produced, easy to augment, but they were also easily trained with a single personality chip inside the vat. Giving them all the training, they needed as well as various memories and ideas to fit their goal in their faction. Such as soldier chips, engineering chips, etc... After the war and with the defeat of both Yggdrasil and Nidhogg, Captain PiK obtained the team who created the Clonebolds, and even the various cloning vats to create more of them.
However, he refused to use them in any capacity stating that the "Alpha and Beta models of the Fruit Kobolds are better.", and Clonebolds are not seen deployed anymore. Some Clonebolds however are still around today and are more or less developing personalities of their own. Most of them can be seen around Bayshore and many do not plan to go into battle anymore. Simply retiring and working on factory lines or developing brand new technology for Captain PiK's Armada.
Other than that? I don't got much else to say- Have a nice day everyone!
Disclaimer and Copyright: These characters involved, and the artwork belongs to me, TwistedHensley. The Skin to Scales universe also belongs to me there, TwistedHensley... You get the drill. I want to point out that this is an Epic Dark Fantasy setting with a lot of mythological and religious tones and that there is no real-life connection to any of these events, religions, characters and it is fully, grounded, in fantasy. There is no copyright infringement also intended to other forms of media as Skin to Scales is meant to be its own thing and something I've been working on for a very long time. This is the same setting where faith is a massive part of the magic system, and it is usually meant to have a very bright and colorful art style to help balance the tone.
