Actually, its much worse than not helping you find a job. The politicians and the unions have a cozy deal: they protect high paid union workers from lower cost competition with laws and regulations. Of course, if you aren't a member of a politically powerful group, you can't get a job. This system is called fascism, and I'm sorry to say that there is more of it here, too, every day.
