Amman, Jordan 2024 [CANCELLED]
Update - 14/01/2024: Cancelled due to growing escalation in neighbouring Israel, Gaza, and the Red Sea. The people I was going to be traveling with were concerned for their safey and getting home if flights become grounded.
Since I was young, like so many others, I was always enamored by the advertures of Indiana Jones. But there was one place that felt so unreal and fantastical that it surely can't be real; it was a set of a film, it's fake, right? That's what I like many others thought, but over time I realised it was real and greater than I could imagine (or at least I hope!)
Sure it won't have booby traps, the last crusader and the Holy Grail (that's in Valencia after all), but the site is far bigger than you realise and so much more to see.
I've always wanted to go to Jordan, and besides Petra there's Wadi Rum, Jerash, the Dead Sea (which I had already visited in Palestine), Amman's Citadel and the Colossal Hand of Hercules.
Now I just need to wait until Janurary...
