What is magic but another science? Magic is drawn, read, understood, and invoked. People say that magic is irrational, that it does not obey the laws of reality. But tell me - which laws do you know about? Are the laws of the universe the same as petty orders laid out by some regional monarch? The laws of nature force obedience whether you know they exist or not. When people say that knowledge is power, they're being more literal than they think. Once you know the rules, once you understand how they function and how they can be bent, then you have discovered a power that lies far beyond mortal ken.
