Solis sat with anticipation upon the dark stage. Even before their show was set to start, the crowd was already cheering for them, and they didn't quiet as each of them checked and tuned their gear ahead of time. As Solis tightened the last of his drums, he looked up to Val and Serratia, nodding and smiling at them both.

The first lights soon came on, just enough to set the mood. The crowd grew louder as Solis gave a quick drum fill leading to the rest of the band's introduction. And then the stage erupted with lights and music. Solis grinned and twirled his drum stick in his hand.

It was time to get this party started.


Wow, what an eventful summer this has been, perhaps one of the best I've had in a long time. So packed full of memorable experiences, friendly visits, and just having an all-around good time with everything.

For one, my mate  valcyrie and I managed to attend two metal concerts! The first being a Nightwish concert, first I've attended and only my second metal concert I've been to! That was certainly an experience, and one I wouldn't mind enjoying again sometime. Second was an Arch Enemy concert. Much smaller, but nonetheless really awesome to hear them live for the first time!

Second, we managed to get some friends to come visit! Among them being my amazing sister  lovesremorse, as well as her mate  jamesness. It was honestly so nice to get to meet my sis in person again, and for much longer than the last time, too! We all had an amazing time together and it was admittedly pretty sad to see everyone leave and need to go back to...normal life. xD

And just recently managed to get a week off work to just...do what we felt like doing. Took a small cruise of sorts to a Finnish island to see some interesting historical remains, went for a couple fishing trips, attended the Arch Enemy concert mentioned earlier, and just take the time to unwind a little.

Honestly, I really just enjoyed this summer, and I do consider it one of my best I've had. So, thank you to my mate, my sis, and everyone else who helped make it so awesome.

To help commemorate this summer, we got a group pic together with  serratia featuring all of us as part of a rock band together. Honestly, I just love the vibe of this pic and I feel it's a good way to commemorate just how awesome the past three months have been.
