Well, after a decade in the fandom I've finally gone and done it - I've bought myself a fursuit!
Saw this lovely goat on auction from
Exdra last week and after much rumination, I finally decided to place a bid. Turns out I was the top bidder and to cut a long story short, she's mine now :)
She's called Peaches 'n Cream, a name I initially considered changing but which has now started to grow on me.
Now, people who know me might be wondering why I decided to buy a goat. Personally, I always figured that if I bought myself a fursuit then it'd be either an avian or one of my 'roo character, Speckle. But at the same time I've always really liked goat fursuits, memories of MFF '06 and my first sighting of Sophie Cabra's wonderful costume being one of my fondest con experiences. So, when I saw Peaches last week, the temptation to buy instantly crept to the forefront. After all, maybe I'd never get a chance to own a goat again. Really glad I decided to go for it :)
That's not me in the photos btw - those images were kindly provided by
Exdra of MyFurCreations.
Only downside is that it's going to be four months before I can wear it. The suit will be staying in the US until June, when she'll be making her debut at Anthrocon. I'm certainly looking forward to fursuiting for the first time! :)
