Adoptable created by
shalinka
I was just about to decide to swear off of adoptables. They're fun, and I've gotten some neat characters from it, but I have so many of my own I'll never do enough with them. When this gal came up for adoption, my resolve collapsed. I was obsessed with horses long before I ever knew there was such a thing as the furry fandom, and I've long considered creating an anthro horse character of my own. What's more, she looks enough like a paint horse that I simply had to have her. So here's Melissa. I don't know what I'm going to do with her. I'm still looking for a girlfriend for Cassandra, though, and she might suit my vixen better than the character I had in mind.

Guilty as charged. I've always had a terrible soft spot for orphans and the unwanted. I guess, technically, these adoptables aren't really unwanted, as such, but I still can't help but give a few of them a home.
As for how many I have? Oh, gosh, that's a good question. Let's see, now. Besides Penny, I've got:
Nessa (rabbit/fox hybrid): http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4961050/
Eleanor (squirrel): http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4937246/
Grace (rabbity-thing): http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4937237/
Sevriel (species unknown): http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4770580/
Kite (winged corgi): http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4738129/
Theresa (almiqui): http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4615207/
Jett (snow leopardess): http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4602372/
Rachel and Abigail (rabbits, sporting their nicknames here): http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4278197/
I don't think I've forgotten anyone. I really need to work on coming up with stories for a lot of these girls in the near future, too.

Oh yes. That's not even counting the two or three dozen characters I created myself, for different stories and projects. With more coming all the time.
I have a bit of a fondness for twins, since I am one myself. Though my brother and I are hardly identical!
strawberryneko, who created the bunny twins, was willing to sell them separately, but I simply couldn't bear to see them split up. So I bought them both. I guess maybe I do get a bit too sentimental about fictional characters, but I'm quite happy with my girls. I've even gotten a couple of stories out of them, with plans for more. *Giggles* As for your cougars-turned-rabbits, I don't know if I'd say that was unwise. I'd call that trading up!

Ooh, a night mare sounds like an interesting character, and one with several possibilities behind her. Horses do seem to be held as rather tricky to draw, which is likely why there aren't more around. Though it has always kind of surprised me that horses aren't more popular than they are, even so. I've always loved horses, and as I said in the description they were my first obsession before the fandom. So it's really a shame I haven't created, or adopted, an anthro mare before now. Penny is quite a pretty girl, too. Paint and pinto horses are so gorgeous, and her design is just plain neat.
