sketchmission for the fabulous Scifer@Twitter! featuring his awesome otter character, Ryder-
-thanks to his input and redlines, this one is a bit outside of my normal style and features more animal proportions. I had a ton of fun with this!

niiice!!
that sounds so damn cool.
I also had a really fun and life changing trip while leaving my old bedroom- I used to have the "party" space since my mom didn't mind too much so long as we weren't loud and I had a loft bed, so it was my computer desk and then a lot of makeshift seating and, it was a group of us tripping out on LSD and MDMA and.
I opened up my door to go to the bathroom and the hallway was replaced with a post-apocalyptic winter landscape with a distant glowing city over the horizon that became my destination and I went on an adventure with my glowsticks and the music playing in my head, trying to get to that city and all of the scenes I saw along the way became the foundation for a lot of my older art and concepts that I still use to this day.

It was really beautiful. A good way to wind down from what started as pretty reckless circumstances. (Basically, on impulse, during the week at the start of the pandemic where everything was shutting down but we weren't at lockdowns yet, when my boyfriend was away for what would end up being a six month stretch. It could have gone sooooooooo bad).
Your experience sounds beautiful. That's a really pretty space to have, not going to lie, I'm a bit envious ^^ It seems like quite a fun journey you had :3
LSD and MDMA combined, I've yet to try. I got both of them individually, but somehow never felt like combining them even though I heard nothing but fun experiences with those. Tried weed and LSD and that was...weird. Apparently that is a no-no.
I am not a very visual tripper. At most I get distortions and shimmers. But your city experience reminds of this one time when I started visualising the lines between my floorboards as roads and started picturing those roads leading into a shining city (sounds similar to yours there). I was literally on the floor, finger tracing the lines hoping that I could reach the city if I just followed the right roads. My tripsitter was having a lot of fun watching me.
Had a music one too that was kind of hilarious: On one weekend, me and my BF took acid. Since this was during the pandemic, we didn't have much else to go so we watched a music stream organised by some friends and they had a drum and bass artist that I fucking adore (Zardonic). Despite how hard and fast the music was, we actually really vibed with it. After it finished, we went out for a stroll (this was past midnight at that point). As we were near a park, we both could swear we were hearing drum and bass coming from nearby. And we were like, "shit, is there an illegal party happening? Maybe at the nearby park?"
So we decided to check it out. Except we couldn't find it. We could keep hearing the drum and bass, but even after wandering around for nearly an hour, we were nowhere closer. It was then we realised, we weren't hearing drum and bass, we were hearing the wheels of the cars passing by rolling over the little speed bumps and matrixing the sound as drum and bass, and that we had just spent an hour looking for a drum and bass party that didn't exist!
That one was actually a pretty special trip for me. Not only it was my BFs first time, but it was also when I was "visited" and "possessed" by what would become my demon-sona. It was so vivid, I could feel his claws and the weight and curvature of his horns. It really inspired a lot of my creative work subsequently as well.
It is cool to talk about these experiences :3
