There was still a chance this was, as Defalt had said of Intoxicator’s own attempt, “just for lulz.” Maybe Defalt just wanted bragging rights, or a strong negotiating position for some sort of proposal.
But there was also the chance that Intoxicator was in very real danger. So he tried to fight. He lunged forward, throwing a punch with all the strength he could muster without his suit’s assistance. Defalt, though, was more attentive and agile than expected. He ducked down and scampered to the side, dodging the blow entirely as his symbol appeared on the screen adorning Intoxicator’s chest vent – a glowing mark of his victory.
