Intoxicator had heard of them. Special, cutting-edge audio files Defalt had developed and distributed like street drugs. He hadn’t bothered looking into the scientific details – but somehow, the hacker had found a way to design binaural soundscapes that could mess with the brains of listeners, typically by inducing vivid hallucinations likened to particularly intense acid trips. Hence the name.
Intoxicator barely had time to register the fact that this one was labeled “Brain Crasher,” and decide that was probably a very bad sign, before the file started playing at a deafening volume inside his helmet.
