The Mooncrest mercenary team is at it again where they have to deliver a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X to a client. Expect a clean getaway under a possible police presence.

Lan Evo Delivery

Sliding out of control in the Mason District of Palmont City, Caelus regains control of the vehicle he is driving after somehow slipping and losing traction. The lion is driving a blue Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, and with him is his wife Cycnus, driving their Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (C6). Also with Caelus and Cycnus are Seely, Enzo, and Amon.

"Remember guys, stick close! If anyone gives us trouble, knock 'em off the road!" Caelus directed.

"You got it, boss!" Seely is right behind the two lions in his Renault Clio V6, taking up a position between the team in an X formation. So far, everything is under control, even with the team doing their best to stay close to Caelus while keeping the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X in sight.

Amon has switched to an older model Mitsubishi to keep pace through the winding twists and turns to stay with the team leader - a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR-Edition. Enzo is driving the same vehicle he had before from their last delivery assignment.

During the drive, Caelus announces, "Okay team! We're gonna be dropping this thing off in the Silverton district! Client requests we drop this thing off at the Neon Mile. It is a pretty big place, so stay on guard. There's no telling who's gonna be after us this time!"

A series of acknowledgements are made in reply by the team. Then Amon suggests, "Boss, if we shoot along the Francis Tunnel, we should be able to get to our destination quicker!"

By the time Amon suggests this, Caelus remarks, "That's a negative, Amon. We're gonna be taking Highway 142 and that'll be a straight shot to the drop-off. Stay close, guys!"

The moment they all turn north on Highway 142, the police scanner goes off.

*BEEP-BEEP!*

:Attention District 1 - we are receiving reports about an unknown number of vehicles moving at a high rate of speed. Suspects were last seen headed east along Mason Street. Units in the area are to clear up all nonpriority calls and start up that way for me, please.:

Enzo groans, "Not this again. We don't have time for this!"

:Dispatch, you got any more info on that call? My screen's blank.:

:Suspect is driving a blue Mitsubishi.:

:I just cleared a call on my end. I'm headed to the area now.:

"Oh great. Any hopes of a fast, clean delivery are shot if the police show up!" Cycnus lamented in complaint. Her Corvette Z06 is at the rear while Amon, Seely, and Enzo are in front. Amon, however, stays close to Caelus, dropping back just enough to avoid riding his bumper.

At the speed they're racing at, the family of five should be in Silverton in no time. That is, if no obstacles fall in their way. During the drive, Seely contemplates, "Hmm, maybe after this deal is done, we can all purchase a new safehouse."

Before anyone can say anything, a cry of alarm comes from Enzo, "Red and blue lights! Cops!!"

Enzo happens to spot a Pontiac GTO patrol car in the opposing lanes. The eagle panics, flooring the accelerator while the GTO whirls around to catch up. However…

:Dispatch, Unit 25 - I got that Code 3 suspect in *CRASH!* Initiating Code 3 pursuit on a suspected vehicle! Party hit me and took off! Update to follow!:

"Everyone, stay with Caelus! I'll hold em off!!" Knowing the weight advantage she possesses with her Corvette Z06, Cycnus agrees to hold off the cops while letting everyone else stick to Caelus. This leaves the lioness in a critical situation.

Before Caelus can object, Cycnus urges him, "Go without me! I'll meet you guys back at our safehouse once I take out the cops!"

With no other choice, Caelus obliges when Enzo suddenly cuts into opposing lanes to join Cycnus in destroying the Pontiac GTO police car. Already moderately damaged from the initial collision with the Corvette Z06, the Zonda F smashes directly into the police muscle car in a heavy slam attack, which in turn slams into the Corvette! The lone police car is left disabled and smoking while completely wrecked.

*STATIC!*

:Dispatch, send EMS to our location. Possible injuries.:

"Is that the only bogey we got?" Enzo flies ahead of Cycnus in his Zonda F, scouting out the landscape while moving to catch up with the rest of the team.

"So far, that's the only one! We're almost to Silverton! Just got a little bit more to go!" Caelus announced. "Stay close, guys!"

"I'm with Cycnus right now, Caelus!" Enzo informs the lion of his situation, "We're both catching up as we speak!"

While this brings a sense of relief to Caelus, the team is almost in the clear. Only a short distance left until they reach the Neon Mile part of Silverton! This brings back a memory for Amon, who comments, "We should stick around here and explore, some time. Maybe even hit the casinos for some fun."

"It's not that easy." Seely objected to the statement. "Tons of thieves looking to make a quick fix and tons of gambling problems. You're better off playing at a Bingo hall."

"Guys, break it off. We're heading into Silverton!" Caelus announced readily. Once we get off, we'll be going to the Neon Mile! Our client wants this car to be dropped off at the Paradise Hotel."

"Between the Neon Mile and the Starlight Strip, which one is better?" Seely questions the group, wanting to get their vote between the two towns. However, there is no response. Cycnus provides the reason why, "We've never been to that part of town before; if I had to guess, I'd say this, and I'm not speaking just for myself - they're both equal in terms of attraction."

By the time Cycnus and Enzo arrive to catch up, the drop off is already made. Caelus is standing outside the parking lot of the Paradise Hotel, waiting for his wife to arrive. Wanting to be alone, Caelus directed everyone to head back to their safehouse while he awaits his wife's return. The male lion is taking in the crisp, nighttime air when he hears the familiar growl of his wife's Z06.

Sighting the Corvette drifting along a bend, Caelus smiles to himself, seeing the muscle car closing in on his location. And when Cycnus finally pulls up to meet Caelus, the lioness exits the car, ready to swap positions. But before they do so, the two lions embrace and nuzzle each other.

"You're so special, you know that?" Caelus whispers while rubbing his head on his wife.

Chuckling softly in return, Cycnus chuffs happily, returning the head-rubbing. "I love you too, Caelus. You're special as well."

"Once this is all finished, why don't we take some time off - spend some quality time out here in Silverton?" Nuzzling his wife, the male lion makes his suggestion to his wife, who accepts with a head nod and a whisper.

The two lions climb back into the Corvette Z06 with Caelus sitting behind the wheel this time and his wife in the passenger seat. Once they're secure, they pull away, leaving the area to head back to their safehouse.
