No they didn't... All the credit for Bayonetta goes to the guys who made the game and Platinum Games. If anything Sega was more of a HINDRANCE than help during Bayonetta's development and it was their shoddiness that led to the PS3 version being inferior to the X-BOX 360 iteration, when they virtually left it to the last minute to decide that the game wouldn't be an X-BOX exclusive title!

So yes, Sega DID distribute Bayonetta, but other than that they deserve no further mention.

Sonic Unleashed PS3 day levels are the only 3D Sonic levels that come close to emulating the gameplay of the classic 2D games.

Download the 100% unlock save from www.gamefaqs.com and you don't have to play any night levels or overworlds (which are actually pretty decent in their own right, but that's not what you buy Sonic for)

If you're feeling classic 2D Sonic deprived, I recommend Sonic CD, the classic Sonic game you probably never played.

i actually have unleashed for the 360 and beat it, 1/2 that game was fucking amazing, the other 1/2 was....allright.

hella is letting me borrow colors right now, i have to admit its pretty damn good.

thing is, they arent as good as the older games, like SA1 or S3.

i know its not just nostalgia goggles either, mario galaxy was hella better than 64, and it was easy to see.

and i have sonic CD, that game confused the shit out of me, i dont know why i couldnt get into it :( i love the video clips tho

With a powerful line-up last year of SEGA All-Stars Racing, Sonic 4, and Colors. I'd say he's finally picking back up.....of course it's definitely going to take some more time before the fans decide to take him back. :)

The reason why sonic games haven't really been that good anymore is because the Japanese got waaaaaay too much hold on the reigns this time around. Back when Sonic was a Japanese-made, American-written and designed game franchise it was all gravy and sweet buttermilk biscuits. Now that the Americans/Canadians have become more shy around Sonic or anything SEGA in general ever since one of the Sonic Team big-wigs died and the SEGA system(Saturn, Dreamcast) went belly-up, sonic is all flash and appearance and no real substance. He used to be an icon for all ages...now it seems he has been reduced to an icon to much younger children, Nipponophiles and lolicons(Amy, Cream, Marine) alike.

What? Now? Sonic Colors and Sonic 4 both succeeded commercially and critically. For once, this image isn't up to date. I know, you'd think it'd be a sure thing to get away with calling Sonic games bad, but right now they're pretty decent, nay pretty good even.

Just wait few months. I'm sure Sega will find some new and exciting way to screw up their cash cow again.

Sonic Colors actually made up for the garbage games I've been seeing.Sonic 06,STH 4(meh,its ok.not the best,but they could improve on the speed),I dont think Sonic Free Riders was any good.It would've been good bt for the fact that it was ONLY on the kinect made it a huge killjoy ><

This is funny. I like all the Sonic Games though. Sonic Heros felt rushed to me but its what ever. What I want is a remake of the adventure series with online multiplayer and Sonic 3 and Knuckles.

God i really wish this arguement would end. alot of the resent sonic games wern't bad sonic 06 was a wreack yes but that was rushed did the advance series suck did the rush series do bad you (meaning the supposed sonic fans) make it seem like every time he shows his face it's a fail. chances are that if you continue to do this ranting and complaining they won't make anymore games.

Reminds me of how the fanbase literally treats sonic with every new game. With horrible excuses for Sonic 4 sucked due to Sonic having Green Eyes, not Genesis 16 bit, Eggman not being changed to Robotnik really shows how immature and ungrateful the fanbase has become. Sega tried to listen to them and this is how the fanbase repays Sonic Team.

When people wanted Sega to listen, they didn't want Sega to cherry-pick. Each game has felt overly independent and yet to build a true squeal because it was a combination of Sega trying something different with or without something the fanbase wanted. Resulting in either a clash of interest (unleashed werehog modes or Shadow the hedgehog's gun gameplay -- not everyone loves it), unpolished game-play (this is a common problem, mostly in the camera angle department), a poorly written storyline, or the 100 character syndrome (as if artists don't have enough characters to draw porn of).

While it may sound irrational to blindly listen to your fanbase like this, it tends to be forced upon the Sonic Team to do so. They listen to details but forget fundamentals, or visa versa, people long to see both.

Me, I want a movie. Take the graphics teams, hook them up with some awesome writers, hire real voice actors (Jaleel White suits me fine ) and make a movie that is rated above pg13.

Hopefully Generations doesn't have the problems that '06 had. Most of '06 was good (level design, gfx, sfx, cutscenes, boss and enemy design), but the controls screwed it over. They were almost impossible to work with, especially on speed stages!

After 06, I lost a LOT of interest in Sonic... Unleashed got me back on the bandwagon. I can't wait to play Generations!

This is relevant again with Sonic Boom Rise of Lyric.
