I was thinking that too! I was thinking that Barclay could come back, and steal the Idol back, or get his revenge.
Granted, if he dose come back, and he is his stronger self again is mostly depends on how the magic works, or if the trance is broken because he doesn't have it anymore. (On pg. 9 it implies hypnosis.)
