Its a giant key you use as a sword and fatal crest's ability is berserk charge which dissables combo finishers while your magic bar is charging, leaving a continueous attack chain

This however is a good weapon on Master style, as once your magic is out it gives a boost to fight and juggle enemies.

And it helps during the Sephiroth battle... I haven't beaten him yet, but I managed to see more of his moveset before he killed me again.

it's a magical key that opens and locks doors that can and is used as a sword it's very straight forward.

I guess you're not supposed to think about it too much. But it can be hard not to, I suppose, when seeing it out of the context of its native setting. Even within it, one sometimes has to wonder. Still, they're somewhat intriguing, visually.
The artwork is very nice, as usual.
