Zootopia "fan art"? So unlike me. I felt it was about time to draw something spherical again. Nick's a good target, so he's at the hospital for his sudden inexplicable balloon transformation. I can leave it up to you to imagine how the dialogue plays out.
Perhaps something along the line of "Aw, shoot, buddy you've developed chronic airbag syndrome. There's no cure. Darn shame, innit? Make sure you stay indoors."

i mean hey, fun stuff like this doesn't ruin or affect the original media at all! I guess it's like different universes, Nick from the movie can still continue being a cop for as long as he wants, but Nick from this pic is gonna be stuck having Judy carrying him around on the end of a string for the foreseeable future~ assuming Judy doesn't end up catching it from him too that is hehe
so in this universe, maybe Judy ends up catching a case of the permablimps a week later from carrying Nick around, so clawhauser or someone else has to take up the task of holding their strings, until he inevitably catches it too, and so on and so forth to create a gradually growing bundle of balloon animals bobbing and floating around zootopia~
You're right on the money! Even if realistically "forever" wouldn't be something I'd be able to strictly follow, the idea is cute! I'm more of someone interested in how a ballooned character will be able to interact with the world in it's current state as well as others interacting with it, as opposed to just the straight "ballooning up" part.
Same here, I'm way more interested in imagining how a permablimp would have to go through their daily lives, what they can and can't do, what coping mechanisms they come up with, how they interact with their friends and the rest of the world, and in general, just how their life goes after those first few minutes of puffing up, even though those first moments are fun too hehe
Man oh man, I'm such a sucker for permanent inflation! Both that moment of "Wait, I'm gonna be like this FOREVER!?" and all the ways someone would have to be forced to live that way
I wouldn't be against seeing more of how Nick and Judy adjust to this new bloaty floaty, or just more permaflation scenarios in general

Te'heh. We share a common sentiment then, and you described why superbly. Whether or not the subject is willing or appreciative of their state of being, how they adapt to not only themselves but also interactions to the normally mundane daily routines, it's a cute fantasy to explore! Not to mention the possible interactions with others who the subject might rely on for help. Doesn't even have to be truly permanent, only an implied tease~
