I must need to read the series I guess. I jsut don't understand; They switch hats, but the tall man thinks it isnt a good idea? does the source of their powers eminate from their hats????

Well, the hats don't really fit XD Crane is also a nervous type and becomes pretty clumsy at slightest provocation so Harvestman's hat, which is too large for him, pretty much covers his eyes and he can't see and loses himself.
Scapegrace is eerily quick at switching hats with Harvestman. XD
