Welcome back to another Gun Day Sunday! This girl and her SUPER slick Mini Draco SBR setup is attacking Chris Redfield's rifle setup in Resident Evil: Village. After getting her Form 1 approved, she made a near perfect clone of that rifle and found that it sucked for her. The Midwest Industries railed handguard was full of rail space that was not getting used, the vertical grip was only okay, and the pressure switch placement was awkward and nigh unusable.
So she modified it to her preferences. Truth be told, her setup is better. It is slightly better balanced (though still front heavy), the pressure switch is far more usable being on the top and not on the side, and the red dot sits at a much better height for use under NODs. What was Redfield thinking with his setup? LOL
Shown here:
Century Arms Mini Draco, SLR Rifleworks 5.35in mid MLOK handguard, Dead Air Wolverine, Surefire M300 with tape switch, Arisaka M300 MLOK mount, Slate Black Industries vertical foregrip, Attero Arms rail mount, Aimpoint T2, Scalarworks LEAP absolute cowitness height, Texas Weapon Systems Hob Knob, Polish enhanced safety, ALG AKT-UL, VLTOR buffer tube, Magpul CTR, US Palm grip

Probably the only thing I disapprove off is that nub grip, looks like it would be uncomfortable no matter how you hold the rifle, and I have some decently skinny fingers.
But other than that, yeah, it seems very viable for a spec-ops fighting the forces of the supernatural and overall a practical set up.

That finger rest on the grip and the extra strut in the stock are so bad on the in-game model! I hate the A2 grip and its horrible finger rest so seeing it on the grip on the in-game model made me frown. But looking at the in-game rifle, the grip and stock are clearly referencing the Magpul CTR and either the US Palm or Tango Down pistol grips.
The problem I have with it is that it only looks practical, but I have enough suspicion to think that it is quite awkward to use in actual practice. The biggest problems with the rifle used in the game were purely ergonomic, not choice of equipment. I've ran AKs with setups similar, but everything changes when under NODs. The optic being too low makes passive aiming a pain because the ocular may smack against the gun. The tape switch being in a less desirable spot disincentivizes using the LAM. Most everything else in-game with that rifle is perfectly fine to me.
