I've been dabbling in painting miniatures for tabletop RPGs for a while, and figured I would show a few I've done. I know my skill is rather basic (and a lot of these need touching up, to say nothing of needing highlights and such), but I still have fun doing it. As you can see, being a furry has kinda influenced me toward the draconic and beastfolk races...

Most of them are from Wizkids' Nolzur's Marvelous Miniatures line (my local game shop carries 'em, but you can also find them at Amazon and MiniatureMarket), and others from various shops on etsy that print them from design groups like Broken Anvil. Just search there for DnD miniatures and you'll find tons.
One of the first things I had to convince myself of when I started was, "You gotta start eventually, so don't be afraid to experiment." :p I understand how it can be a bit nerve-wracking at first, but one thing you might try is experimenting with some minis that you don't mind messing up on. Like, buy some cheaper ones that you can either easily replace or can stand to have colored weird, and use them for practice before you move to the ones you'd like to display or use in your games. The more you do it, the more confidence you'll have, and the more practice you'll get!
That is the problem! XD
I don't have any close (in physical space, I mean/not online) friends that likes these kind of games...
So until now, I could only find one single game that my family ended up liking.
That said, I only have one game with these figures... a total of 5! ^^;
So I really don't have enough to give myself room for mistakes! ^^;
