I forgot how much of a headache it is to set up a new computer, but I wanted to get a doodle out before my two days off ended. So I messed around with ClipStudio for about 20 minutes, but before I do anything major on my SP9 I have a banner that I have to complete. Now time for buyers' remorse.
Is there such a thing as heat depression? I know one can get cabin fever. My last two days off have been both interesting and depressing. It was probably the first time that I didn’t touch social media the whole two days while I was off. Part of it was I made a trip to the Falls and left my phone at home. I realized it was there about two miles away from the house, but I didn’t feel like turning around.
This heat not only has been annoying but it has been costing way too much and damage to my property. It hasn’t been good on the fawns, and it has killed several of my 20+ year old trees that I have planted. It’s not because of the lack of water, but the fact that it has been so hot for so many days in a row.
Even though my mud puddle has been dry for over a month due to it not being so deep, I notice a lot of stock tanks drying up that I really never had that problem before, then again when we had that bad hot spell in the 90s I really didn’t look too hard. There also has been a lot of new tanks dug since then. Then every so often there is one that is filled with plenty of water as if water is magically coming out of the grown. What I have been noticing a lot of are trailers going by with big water tanks in the back. That must be a chore having to go to a water filling station, and then hauling it out to cattle everyday. I’m not sure how much cows drink but I’m willing to bet it’s way more than 20 deer.
The boys are starting to shed their velvet, so that means the clanking and grunting is just right around the corner. Finally figured out that Buckie’s little fawn is a buck, so he’s going to get the name Buck or Bucky. We also have Lexx the 3rd, who looks more like a Whitetail, but 100% Fallow.

This sketch came out nice! I was going to say summer was hot and humid as heck this year around, but it where you live is having it far worse than here in northern VA. I may have to work out in it every work day, but at least there isnt any water shortages and the ac works at my house.
