I really like how this turned out, and her help along the way was wonderful. This was just as much an experimentation in mediums as it was in technique, and I had a lot of fun doing it.
Stuff used to make this pic- Micron Pens, Micron pen-brush (first time with that, its awesome!), Galleria acrylics, Liquitex Ink (not my favorite ink), masking fluid (first time too!), and coffee. Yes coffee. I used it to make the background. The use of coffee was inspired by Blotch.

Ooh an early one XD
I believe I used acrylic to lay down the purple color you see in the background, to get away from the white base color of the paper, and then used liquitex ink (which I dont really recommend, it was what they had at the store... try Dr Martins stuff, much richer colors. I just applied it with a brush after watering it down a little bit.
