Redesigned the new main Sonic cast for fun!
Based this on how I feel that Sonic's older-sounding voice in Frontiers is more deserving of a design to match.
Sonic I've already redesigned dozens of times, so I've ultimately tried to make a definitive version of my previous attempts, now with Chip's bracelet from Unleashed! I debated on adding it as I felt it weird to make an accessory like that a part of Sonic's iconic design, but I think adding that kind of visual storytelling is nothing but a good thing. Besides, it's all in good fun!
Tails' design is partly inspired by the one I already made for 
Leboy. Natural fox patterns are a very good inclusion for growing this special boy. Also wanted to give him open-toed shoes, but that would be very not good for the line of work he does. So I made a compromise by making them closed-toed but paw-shaped. Hope it looks okay, cause I can't help but I feel like I muddled it as a result haha.
Knuckles was hard, cause initially I almost drew him the same but with a leaf skirt, but then I stopped being an idiot and remembered that he's not above wearing a pair of ripped jeans. Also I never understood why Knuckles had legos on his shoes; what purpose they served, so I changed them to be conceptually the same but aesthetically more coherent with his personality and upbringing.
Amy went through the most drastic changes. I wanted to see if I could give her a kooky third hairstyle that could stick out from both classic and modern, but ultimately just decided to touch up the modern look. Clothes were the hardest part for me to figure out without adding too much nonsense.

It's interesting how the boys all have proper clothing on now, and not just gloves and shoes.
You think Amy convinced them to start dressing like that? Because if they're gonna have a lady be a part of Team Sonic, then they got to dress right to make it feel less awkward for her. Right?
