After helping as a nurse at her uncle's clinic, Debbie realized that she liked working with and helping others. To pay for college tuition she decides to enlist in the military, thinking it'd be an easy 4 years. The only time she excels is when she's trying to save a life. Be it on an operating table, or being fired upon out in the field, she keeps a cool head and has saved multiple soldiers who were injured by roadside bombs and has quite a collection of shrapnel. She rarely loses a patient and has garnered alot of respect from the squads of the troops she's saved. New troops who tease her about her name quickly discover that a majority of the base will back her up if she's insulted. Oddly, she's still shy around her fans.

While comfortable around Skrap, she doesn't spend as much time with him as the others in her squad. She does spend some nights with Dusty, but mostly shares the bed with her close friend Sasha. Once her term is up, she'll have to decide to stick for another term, or return home to intern at a hospital. She hopes that Sasha will come with her.

Whenever she's not in the zone while saving someone's life, she does indeed talk like a Beverly Hills Blond and her speech is usually riddled with "Like."
