Page 20 of "Sins of the Fathers"
As the mingled report of twin gunshots fades, Carmelita Fox and Cerberus have a moment of shocked silence to assess what just happened. Instincts, swift hands, and a whole lot of luck have resulted in both gun-hands being parried just before they squeezed their triggers. Both the tazer bullet and the high-yield magnum round have missed their intended targets.
But neither Carmelita nor Cerberus have time to fully get over what a close call that was. Not when they're within grappling range of each other, and they both still have their guns in their hands. Neither is willing to back down from the other, leading to the decidedly volatile situation of two angry sharpshooters grabbing for each others guns while trying to get their own clear for a finishing shot!
For all their polar differences, Cerberus and Carmelita operate on similar wavelengths when it comes to a fight.
CREATOR'S NOTES:
Carmelita's hand comes off as rather small compared to Cerberus' gun, doesn't it? Never you mind, she's still strong enough to keep that magnum at bay just as much as Cerberus can keep HER gun away from his face!
Seriously, you don't appreciate the difference in height and size between certain models until you try to pose them in close-quarters combat.
CREDITS:
1) Carmelita Fox is copyright of Sucker Punch, creators of the Sly Cooper series.
2) The model used for Carmelita came from the Patreon page of Warfaremachine. ( https://www.furaffinity.net/user/mrwarfaremachine/ )
3) Cerberus is an Original Character concept of mine, created for fan-adventures in the Sly Cooper series and related toons.
4) The model for Cerberus is pieced together from several model packs by Petruz (the Wolf V2 pack for the main body, the Dasha & Nataliya pack for the mask, the Cattle Gang pack for the shirt, hair, jewelry, and handwraps), purchased via their Gumroad page. ( https://www.furaffinity.net/user/petruz/ )
5) The handgun Cerberus uses is a re-skin of Cassidy's revolver from his Undead Halloween skin, ported to Steam Workshop by Kemoi Alive. My further gratitude to Warfaremachine's Discord community, who helped me figure out HOW to properly edit the textures for this weapon. ( https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfi.....rchtext=McCree )
6) The crates are either from Steam Workshop, or native to Source Film Maker. All I know for sure is I'm not the one who made them.
7) The flames come from a campfire particle effect found on Source Film Maker, on the page of TacoVFX. ( https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfi.....htext=campfire )
8) The high-rise building that the action is unfolding in was found on the Steam Workshop, courtesy of Anomi. ( https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfi.....htext=highrise )
9) The muzzle flash and the projectiles from Carmelita's Shock Pistol were created by using different elements of the Power Beam particle effect from Samus' blaster. This was found on the Steam Workshop page of Chaofanatic. ( https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=313079885&searchtext=power+beam )
10) The main trails of Carmelita's Shock Pistol's bullets come from one of the “beam” models in the MS Effect pack found on Β L Λ Ζ Ξ's Steam Workshop page for Source Film Maker. ( https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2414991823&searchtext=beam+bullet )
