I’m making a new creature-character for the world of MLP:FiM RP but having trouble picking what I want to do…
Option One: Perytons [info link]
She would be a young delicate fawn-deer like character with little antlers. Her light short wings do her no good in flight but help her leap higher and glide over jumps at best. She is a great sprinter and out run out dodge any predator. Should she be cornered or injured by an opposing force, she has sharp teeth, antlers, and hooves to viciously defend herself. So far nothing has caught her. She would be shy and skittish, even around the pony folk but easily drawn in by carrot or pumpkin snacks. She mostly lives in the Rverfree Forest but is often seen in Whitetail Wood.
Option Two: Cynogriffons or "Chamrosh" as I would call them. [info link]
He would be an old character, worn down creature of the mountain / Dragon's mountain. Old but still a danger to most of equestria, in their youth they're known to pray on young ponyfolk and animals like them. With the front half of a wolf his forelegs are strong enough to dig through solid rock to make his den where ever he pleases. His wings are huge, they were made for strength and can carry him for days if need be. When he hunts, he does so during flight and parades down on top of his pray with his hind-eagle like talons. He's not an active threat to ponies now but many still fear him, he tends to keep to himself rather than hang with other predators.
What do you think would make a better character?
Edit: Okay, for sure going with #1 but I’m keeping #2 as well. 2 will get a bit of a make over, he will be an OLD OLD chamros, like beards and everything. Going blind even. He will be a background character at best but still a character.
