The 11th House: Aquarius the Water Bearer.
Take a good long look at the picture. Confused yet? No? Then go ahead and explain to the rest of the class why I would draw a bird with a gun as the water bearer, you know-it-all.
...
Thought so.
The sign of Aquarius, despite its name and symbol (the Water Bearer), is not a water-based sign, rather, it is an air-based sign, whose animal representation is that of the large bird - in this case, the raptor or bird-of-prey. The bird I had in mind was the Harpy eagle, an interesting avian with a fanciful crest of spiky feathers sticking out the back of its head, and cloaked in grays and whites.
"So why a gun?" I hear you snort derisively. As you might've noticed, since I've been pointing it out, I've been associating each of the Zodiacs with a specific weapon, something I thought fit with the symbol or personality of the sign. For example, Virgo (Earth) holds a staff, while Taurus (also Earth) holds an axe - these are tools as well as weapons. Aries (Fire) wields a mace, while Leo (Fire, as well) wields a sword, both weapons designed to inflict great amounts of damage. So what about Air? Air is one of the finer elements, and its weapons should reflect that: Libra is a construct, running on magnetism using the flail, a weapon that can't just be wildly swung around or you can serious hurt yourself; Gemini is a pair of chakrams (reflecting the Twins) that require more finesse and precision. So, I emphasize such Air-type idealism with the revolver, one of the more basic firearms while still holding a certain level of complexity above such basic weapons as the spear, or even the bow and arrow.
I didn't want to draw wings, that's why he doesn't have any.

Hm, pretty interesting concept all around, I like this idea a lot more than the generic maiden with a jug full of dirty water some crazy old bitch used to wash a Opossum and is pouring it all over the floor, this is very different and unique, I like it :3!
The details are quite nice here, bud! All the feather fluff and the talon shins, and now I'm just thinking that if a gun of air doesn't do the trick, he has a separate gun packing enough 'water' to kill anything XD
Hey, what did you expect from me? Class? HA!

Well, that image wouldn't have been appropriate - for many reasons, but the main would be I've already drawn a generic maiden, the genericest maiden I could, for Virgo (her being the Maiden, and all).
If there's one thing I can do well concerning details, it's anatomically! :O Less anatomical details...less so. Dx And no, class from you, I'd be suspicious. >:U

Another amazing piece from you, bro!
I did, actually, know that Aquarius is an Air Sign (it helps to be another student of astrology, as well as having a mate who is an Aquarius), but that doesn't mean I wasn't still surprised at seeing an avian representing it.
I just love the thought and philosophy you put into all these. Also, both the gun and the feathers are very cool and well-drawn. ^_^ Just a question...is that just a water motif you've put on the gun, to represent the Water-Bearer...or is that actually a revolver-style Super Soaker?

Yes, I know you did, silly lion - we've discussed the Zodiac before. x3 I'm glad you approve of my pieces, it's encouraging to receive just praise from such a distinguished astrologer as yourself. :D
:O Well, can't it be both? My initial thought centered around pure decoration, but now that you've mentioned it, I suppose it should be some highly pressurized water-propulsion revolver...hmm...
