I don't have a name for her yet. But an idea popped into my head and I had to go for it.

So for context, I have an OC named Adamai. He is a Morphic, a shapeshifter with some interesting functionalities in how his shapeshifting works. He has a special gene that allows him to acquire forms through touch and store their DNA, allowing him to shift into that creature down to the very genes (How Katira was born as a pure-blooded Reshviik despite his true form being a fey, she also inherited his Morphic gene as well)

Adamai was exploring as he often does. He stumbled across a warden, took a good solid hit from it in bear form (Fortunately, bears are tough!) before he took cheetah form and ran the hell away. His cheetah form runs much faster than the Warden and ends up leaving it in the dust and going to lick his wounds elsewhere because ow, wardens hit HARD. He acquired the warden's form when it smacked him due to the contact between them. He'd use it more often, but he's not used to warden senses. They're blind, seeing with vibrations rather than light. This new type of vision is strange and disorienting for him.

He encountered another one later and was cornered. Unable to run, even cheetah form wouldn't get past the warden. Then he remembered his warden form. So he shifted, though didn't want to have to fight the thing, even in warden form! So... he did the Bard thing. Roll to Seduce. Nat 20, success!

Warden distracted and placated, he made his quick exit from that particular deep dark cave.

The encounter had results. A cub that inherited the Morphic gene.

Only.... She didn't know anything about it until she matured and wandered off to find her own territory. She was working on starting her sculk colony in a nice quiet cave with a stream flowing past it, and got bothered by some miners making noise. How annoying! So she went to smack them around a bit and chase them off to get her peace and quiet back. Though smacking the miner intruding on her territory involved touching him, and that contact caused her to instinctively acquire his human form. And then, without quite realizing what was going on ... She shifted. Turned into a human. Everything was suddenly different, hearing dulled, sense of smell all but gone, and she was incredibly confused and disoriented.

The rest of the miners came running to help their injured companion escape the warden because they heard angry warden noises, but arrived to a very strange sight.

The warden they heard is nowhere to be seen. And there was this extremely confused , probably rather panicked, and very naked guy (trying to) roar at them. The warden identifies as a female, but the form she acquired and shifted into reflexively was male.

The light hurt, she saw something she'd never seen before, colors. She lacks eyes normally, so seeing things with eyes freaked her out. She recognized she was weak in this strange small body, and outnumbered. So she turned and tried to run, only to slam into the wall of the cave and knock herself out. The miners assumed she was just some lost guy down in the caves that was lost for gods know how long and lost his mind ... so, they bring the strange, unconscious, growling, "insane man" up to the village for some medical care.

Let's just say the entire experience is extremely confusing and very strange ... but, at least, by the time she shifts back to her true form, she's gotten used to the humans enough not to attack them, but there's a whole lot of confusion when the strange "insane man" they were taken care of turns into a very confused warden!


TL'DR, There is a warden that can shapeshift, accidentally shapeshifts into a human, chaos ensues
