That sign at a booth for meat skewers made me laugh "Fleisch ist unser Gemüse" - "Meat is our vegetable".

I do them both. I have my own Octoberfest with my friends here every year. We even use the traditional steins.

You mean the earthenware beer mugs? I have some of them too. I don´t use them that often because they are annoying to clean. Putting them in the dischwasher ruins the print on of of the brewery.

I am German. Of course I had Currywurst. After Döner Kebap it is the second most popular german street food.
I like my currywurst really spicy. We have a local chain in the Frankfurt area that has sauces that go up to some 1.2 Million Scoville.

Nice! It's a similar case here in the States with Chicken Wings. There's always a certain passion to eat them with some of the spiciest sauces possible. It can be bad for your health, but once you've tested your limit, you'll be grateful you took that risk. Right?
