I found it a great bit of black humor that Aspen, even after being swallowed by Grendel, stayed asleep. Sheila - pushed against him by Grendel's stomach - finally wakes him up by calling out.

whew, you do snake guts as good as you do a doggo's gut~ technical knockout fid! and a bonus percy belly? you are too kind~ i can't help but wonder how the team's going to get out of this one. percy might be as simple as another pred, but given grendel's got a LOT of throat and a greedy maw to get through first, i imagine coaxing him might be in order.
