Starting off this series with the cover page. Having wanted to do the art myself at first, I got help from another artist friend in turning my rough mind image into a great sketch that was nicely detailed and set up the scene nicely and with detail. But having problems really getting to do art myself, especially such detailed and work intense art, I resorted to trying for another commission artist who was good with backgrounds. This was, when I got the suggestion from my friend  Yarik for  Catrinenice and thus this cover art was created and it was really a godsend. Working with her has been an absolute delight. With her help, I could finish the series with a cover art that is just as I imagined, showing off the mystic nature of Oculemna and the forest gates.

Now, to the picture itself, inspired by some of my favourite fantasy novels from my early teen years ("The Elves" series or "The Trolls" series for example) that featured a similar setup of artistry with a symbolizing weapon in the foreground and a thematically fitting ambient background. The series I present to you now will feature the first meeting and the developing relationship between my characters Incendramon and Placiramon and I hope you will accompany me on this journey and enjoy it!
Without further ado, I will get to the story bit now. And further uploads will have not as much information text as this one!

Prolog:
'A mystical place.' That is what the gates in the forests around the world are called. Humming with the magic of the world as it flows outwards from deep within the earth, it is said they are gates to other worlds. Yet, none are recorded to ever traverse them, for the forest gates seem to have their own mind to whom they open.
In the same sentiment, it is said that meetings and revelations that happen in these places, are life changing and intertwining the fates of those who forge a bond in their vicinity.
And when two particular souls enter the court of these gates, entering as combatants, yet leaving as companions, their bond becomes one for eternity.
From crossing their weapons to leaving them crossed in the field, they will grow and change along their path, yet wherever they may lead, they shall forever be connected.
