I recently came across the revelation it's been a little over 2 years since I started my foray into digital art -- all the bumps along the way at the start and the many droughts where I put out nothing, to the insane output of personal art over the past year alone really has put it all into perspective, haha.

In any case, what caused that epiphany? Me digging around my archives and finding the very first time I'd ever drawn Kalil in August 2021, or at least his human self.

He's changed a fair bit since, if anything that design with the side-parted hair was phased out very quickly -- but I wanted to try modernizing him as a treat and to really see how far I've come since I started!

Scaly arm was tossed in for personal brainrot reasons, of course -- as for whether I decide to use this design in the future, we'll have to wait and see :P
