After quite a lot of build-up from past encounters, Nicole and Marie finally encountered each other in one fateful battle at the tournament. Most of Nicole's friends, as well as Nicole herself, expected Marie's prior boasts and critiques to just be a bunch of hot air. To their surprise, not only did Marie prove herself, but she quickly gained the upper hand on Nicole, proving herself the superior fighter in terms of pure skill. Nicole, however, isn't about to give up just yet.
