
Another acrappy test animation, I'm fully aware the hair isn't animated, but the main thing is I'm learning how to do this faster and it should be easier to animate fluidly better next time.

Much better - the downward and upward motion is a lot smoother and more believable.
When he hits the peak of the cycle, however, he's hitting a wall. Put in a couple of frames there to cushion him and make the top of his cycle less rigid. Let him flow through the pose rather than be dragged to it.
Be careful of overanimating him. You want the secondary animation to compliment and accompany the main animation, not compete with it.
