Carina Rose/Rusty Rose
The elder rose sibling, Carina raised young Amy after their parents passed away. But when the Eggman Empire invaded their home, Little Planet, Carina fought hard to protect her younger sister, eventually sacrificing her life to ensure Amy escaped. Or so she thought. In reality, Carina was captured by soldiers and was given to Mesmo. Carina held on, but after 4 years, Mesmo finally broke her, even having her roboticized and renamed Rusty Rose, where she became the Eggman's second most dangerous enforcer, just behind Metal Sonic.
Back when she was Carina, she was very tomboyish, always teasing Amy, but looking out for her. But after her "therapy session" with Mesmo and her Robotomy treatment, Carina, or Rusty as she's now called, became cold and emotionless, carrying out orders from her masters without hesitation, although there may be some small pieces of Carina's old self tucked away in that metal shell, waiting to resurface.
