SUBJECT: WY-XX420

ENTRY: Specimen XX420-1 is a peculiar yet familiar piece of presumed bioxenual resin. After close studies of both the subject itself as well as scans and sampling, the team and I can confirm that it shares much likeness with Specimen XX121 but has a different DNA composition and is definitely also a lot larger. We deem it very likely that what was found on LV-420 is of xeno origin but mixed with DNA of a local creature. It is my recommendation that the colony be evacuated ASAP, not only to save lives but we also risk damaging any further material assumed on site with the heavy mining equipment, especially the carbon drills. I would also recommend the utmost carefulness and discretion in this matter as we would not like to see a similar situation to the Auriga incident 9 years ago.
Specimen XX420-1 is assumed to be a tail talon, but different from many other similar ones this one is finely decorated, almost like a work of art. This along with its size suggests that not only are we dealing with a drone or pretorian, but most certainly a Queen. The artful circular patterns can be compared to the decor of the Queen's crown from subject XX121. It is therefore recommended that we proceed with specially equipped helmets to avoid any reproductive incidents that can break the quarantine.
