Presenting Dreamcatcher, a creature from the spirit world who feeds off of the emotions of others. The spirit world may be overlaid over the physical, and mostly separated, but it still sports a thriving ecosystem all the same. Some of those creatures prey upon each other, and just as many flock around and feed upon the emotional energies given off by people in the physical world. This one in particular has achieved sapience, and has begun to occasionally manifest into the physical world in order to interact with, and prey upon physical creatures. Like you, perhaps! The critters in this world seem so much more vibrant and full of energy, after all.
