Honestly I love the rendering on the neck and how it turned out!

Thank you! This is only a concept, so there is a possibility it will change again as I figure out things that go better with his look. We decided on a neck for him because he does eat, albeit, very very little, and I did not want to try and explain the science behind how it gets from his mouth to his stomach without the passage of a throat lolol. Also, another thing that’s changed about him as he’s been developed, is he is only mechanical on the outside. He’s flesh and blood on the inside. But since the infection and transformation, his body develops at an extremely slow rate, his heart beats once every 3 minutes, his intestines hardly move (so digesting food takes a very very long time, thus, not having to eat very much), and he doesn’t have to sleep either except for maybe once or twice a month due to how slow his bodily functions are following the transformation

Oh I see! Yes, that'd be quite hard to explain if he didn't have any throat, it would literally be floating in midair or somehow getting down there lmao-
Honestly, that all sounds damn awesome, even if the inection is pretty saddening to hear about
