But taxes are an efficient means of redistributing wealth which will be required if too many jobs are replaced by artificial intelligence. The large corporations will have more money to send to the government when they are no longer paying salaries. And with wealth redistribution, the public will have money to by their products. This keeps the economy running and the public fed. Having no answer for this potential crisis is not an answer.
No. I'm trying to describe a temporary solution to what I think may cause a major upheaval. Workers haven't taken over the workplace. We don't have a voice. But, the government could impose some economic control to stop starvation, for example. This does not suggest a permanent solution, by any means.
