Continuing with the characters I originally created for  vrraven, we have my feathery flying monstrosities, the Zhokan. I was inspired to create them when looking up "How big would the wings need to be for a human to fly?" The answer? About eighteen feet total. I then got an image in my head of a bird race with massive wings, a sinitic language, a love for gambling and a tendency for in-fighting. Thus the Sky People, the Zhokan were born.
