This is the second non-anthro horse I've ever drawn, so please bear with me if some of the elements don't intermesh quite properly.
This guy looks like he's chasing down some fleeing noobz after a rousing PvP match.
"You go home and tell your mothers that you just got owned by a bunch of furry tube socks!"
The cavalier portrayed here is an Uhlan, a light cavalry lancer in a resplendent uniform supported by supple leather armor. His tail appears absent because it is tucked into a special bag to protect it- a common trick in a fight is to grab a hold of a Sabalazmon's long tail and use it to yank the rider off their mount. Tucking it away prevents that from happening.
While culturally and genetically similar to the Rosomai, the Sabalazmon retain a strong racial hatred for their neighbors. Some say that this is the result of a long and memorable history of murder and thievery between the two, constant harassment by bands of raiders. Some, however, say that this is because the Rosomai are the only race in Sejhat that actually knows how to fight them.
The Sabalazmon are sable and ermine based humanoids living in the rather lawless frontier of the Azek Khanate. As members of the Beastfolk Alliance they have enjoyed a technological and social leap in the decades following their enrollment. While much more organized and modern than they once were, the Sabalazis' vicious nature can be seen the moment they enter battle.
They are masters of the bow, lance, and scimitar, and as a steppe people almost all of them are superb riders. Facing them in open battle is often disastrous, as they envelop, feint, and whittle away at their enemies by both day and night. When confronted by heavy troops or superior forces they simply melt away into the countryside, waiting for the next opportunity to arise. Fighting the Sabalazmon is an exercise in stomaching one's fear.

Empire, yes, and I've been tempted to pick up Napoleon. In spite of the bugs, I loved Empire, though you'd never know it the way some people talk.
I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't inspired by it. I really caught the 'bug' and started seriously reading about the history of the epoch from a wide variety of sources.

Am I right to guess that you've played as Sweden here and there?
I'm fond of them, personally. Relatively out of the way and unconcerned with neighbors trying to bumrush you- except for Russia, of course. I like colonizing the Americas and knocking over the pirates first.
Pirate: "Look! Swedish troops!"
Pirate 2: "I don't even know what Sweden is!"
Pirate 3: "How did they get past our navy?!"

I liked Empire a great deal. Although my favourite still has to be Med II, I think, unless Shogun II is as good as it seems to be shaping up to be. Napoleon... hit-and-miss.
Ah, where's the Poland-Lithuania love... Stomping the Ottoman Empire and coming back with huge armies paid by the loot and steamrolling Russia was always good fun.

Well, since I am from Sweden it was naturally my first choice when I bought Empire. I am a big fan of the TW series since it´s start way back and I´ve always itched to see my own country fight in it. I was incredible dissapointed when Sweden wasn´t in Medieval 2 for example. But yeah Sweden had a great position back in the days and the war against Russia went well until the battle of Poltava, where serious malfunctions throughout the chain of command caused the entire defeat based on dumb orders.
And yeah, I hate those pesky pirates, it´s so relieving when they´re all gone
