Sutekh, after integrating her enemy's biological weaponry into her own spiritual matrix (fifth attempt or so), after about twenty or so different physical aspects, settles on a compromise between scale, gender, and mobility.

Other forms in the past, not pictured here, include a scarab-like Drone (Male and Hemaphroditic variants), Brood Queen - resembling a giant termite queen fused to a jackaltaur, and Infiltrator - a male aspect 'general' that also functions as a mobile pheromonal and chemical weapons plant using its creations for mental and physical influence upon enemy populaces.

Scaranth have been an ongoing problem in Sutekh's capital city of Khorashtial for the last two millenia, with her own traitorous noble classes summoning and making pacts with them every so often to give Scaranth access to the undercities or slum regions in exchange for assassination, intelligence gathering, and certain reproductive 'alterations.'.

Needless to say, making deals or even -contact- with the Scaranth, without Sutekh's immediate supervision and expressed desire, is punishable by death, spiritual absolution, and a thorough historical censorship of one's very existance from the libraries of her realm.

The burden is on the accuser to prove such dealings exist, and since most knowledge of the existance of the Scaranth at all is censored from the ground up, ignorance is often a problem when combatting possible secret infestations.
